This is the sixth book in the series and really should be read after books 1-3, Unbind, Unfurl and Unleash. It is my opinion (I’m the author, so I would say this), that you should read all seven books in sequence, because I have designed them to be read this way – and they transition into one another. However, understanding His Deadly Rose is not directly dependent on you having read Dom Diaries (#4) and Worth It (#5).

You won’t understand the impact of THE ROSE if you haven’t read Unbind, Unfurl and Unleash before His Deadly Rose, so MAKE SURE YOU READ Sub Rosa 1-3 before this one!

It’s important before going into His Deadly Rose that you take time to consider why I called this series Sub Rosa. Historically Sub Rosa means something of the utmost secrecy. In Latin, it literally means, beneath the rose. The rose, aka Claudia Matthews, is a confounding character, one many readers have asked me about. Nobody seems sure of her. She twists things with her words. One minute she has your sympathy, or your attention, and in the next breath she has you hating her and condemning her to hell for all eternity.

Well, this novel – His Deadly Rose – has been designed to change your mind about a lot. Her story is now told from the perspective of someone who loved her. Someone young. Impressionable. But someone not jaded, not stupid – a reliable narrator.

Is there a reason Claudia seems to make sense one minute, and then the next – she has you convinced she’s full of nonsense once more?

But the final piece of the puzzle will not be revealed until Sub Rosa #7, EPILOGUE, which releases on Valentine’s Day.

What Does 2018 Have in Store?

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break with their families and loved ones! At Lynch Towers we ate, drank, had many lie-ins, and now feel refreshed, ready to take on another year.

You may have noticed that at the end of last year, many of my books underwent a complete rebranding. This coincided with me adding lots of my back catalogue to new vendors, including the iBookstore/iTunes, B&N, Kobo and many others.

I’ve updated the library section of my website with a drop-down menu detailing all my books, including how I’ve incorporated old editions into new ones. You can see which books have already been moved over to expanded distribution, including the Sub Rosa Series, Angel Avenue, Beyond Angel Avenue, The Chambermaid Series and The UNITY Series.

It’s coming to the end of the year and hopefully, most of you will soon be breaking off to spend time with your families – as will I!! If you don’t hear from me over the holidays, I’ll probably be knee-deep in wrapping paper and wondering where my next eggnog’s coming from.

A new year, new books . . .

2016 is out… and a new year is definitely in. I don’t really believe in new year’s resolutions because any time is a chance to make changes but I think I’ll definitely be eating beans on toast a few times in January to combat all the rich food I’ve enjoyed over the festive period! I spent a fair few days with my husband and daughter lounging around in pyjamas, ate loads of mince pies and drank plenty of nice drinks. Whatever you did, I hope it was a good one!

2017 is a massive year for the city of Hull, which I live on the outskirts of. Hull is UK City of Culture this year and things kicked off with a massive fireworks display and an installation called Made in Hull (see image). I’ve featured Hull in one or two of my books (click here) and it’s an exciting time for our area. We already have our tickets for The Hypocrite starring Mark Addy and Caroline Quentin!! Hopefully I’ll be able to sneak out of the writing cave to enjoy a few afternoons of culture this year.

In 2016 I published five novels and edited a few others for clients, too. It was a busy and productive year but there is much more yet to come!

Fans of the Nightlong Series will be pleased to know I will be publishing another Nightlong book in April this year. The third instalment is called The Risk and more details will be available very soon, including pre-order etc. The Risk is the last book in the series and has been completed but is now being edited. I was going to write four books in total but three seems more appropriate and will pack more of a punch. Besides, I have a fair few WIPs in the queue waiting to be written.

After The Risk, I hope to release at least two more novels this year. I don’t like telling people about what I’m writing until I’m entirely sure I can write the whole thing (and that the idea works) but I am happy to give some vague details . . .

After writing several erotic stories with thrilling elements, I’m working on a story of contemporary fiction featuring a very unique and different pairing. It’s going to be emotional and soul-enriching.

I am also working on another spin-off to the Sub Rosa series featuring a character we’ve already met. In fact I’ve got several Sub Rosa spin-offs queued up but some of them will need me to be in a certain mood to write them.

I also have a few secret projects (exciting) in the works but I’m keeping these under my hat until something comes of them.

To keep up to date with details on The Risk, either follow this blog or subscribe to my newsletter here. The Risk will draw a number of threads together and deliver a very satisfying ending, but I won’t pretend the journey there will be easy.
